I was asked to coordinate with another associate on reviewing a meet and confer and doc production. The other associate responded saying she/he would look at the meet and confer and review the doc production but didn’t mention anything about coordinating with me and didn’t message me separately. The other associate clearly wanted to do all of it alone.
How would you respond? For context, I’m a first year and she/he is about 6 or 7 years out of school but just joined the firm this month.

Take a look at the amount of documents that need to be reviewed and suggest a point of division to the other associate.

“There are 400 documents that need to be reviewed and indexed. I’d be happy to work on pages 200-400.”

Then make a plan to compile review notes or put your work together some how so it’s accessible later.

Agree. I’d even be more affirmative and just state what you’re going to work on and get started.

Send a quick email directly to the associate and ask how you can help

I had an interview last Tuesday at a Law firm that I reallllyyy like, this was the second interview with 2 partners. In my opinion, the interview went well. I answered their questions and towards the tail end of the interview, it was very conversational. But I also understand that it ultimately matters how they think the interview went. I want to follow up about the next steps, and want to know A: is it advisable? B: what should I say without coming off annoying? C: is it too early to reach out?

Anyone who goes to court relatively often wear braids? Honestly, I know it’s something I have to get over, but I am so worried that the partners wouldn’t like it or I would prejudice the clients because I’m pretty sure all the judges are racist or so wrapped up in respectability (read racist) they won’t hear my arguments for what they are.
Could really go for some senegalese twists rn.

I got a Boston Consulting Group employee to refer me. Got the referral link instantly but I can't seem to see any AC roles on the Job posting site. My link was some brassring referral link and it had some 807 openings but no AC roles. I have reached back to my contact to figure out what's up with this. Anyone from the firm has any idea or any candidate had a similar experience ? My referee didn't ask me for any office preference or anything just fyi.

Hi

Does anyone when a person can re join HCL?

Got offered 65+5 for SC in Deloitte, London - industry hire. 7 YOE.

Is that within the new bands? Or is it because of no consulting experience?

What would be a fair amount to negotiate for?

Also, how is the market for consulting in capital projects? M seems to be hiring heavily for Capital Excellence.

Current bankruptcy clerk in a non-major market in the northeast. My term ends in April of next year and I’m starting to think about my next move. I follow the economy closely and know the general expectation is things will start to slow down/bankruptcies pick up again soon but I still don’t see many BK positions posted yet. I’m hoping to move back to Chicago and I was wondering if anyone in BL (Chicago or otherwise) have any insight into associate hiring in the next 8-12 months in RX/BK groups.
