I’m so sorry to hear about that ♥️
I would let HR know and perhaps your counsellor (not sure if PwC has this. Basically your career coach and the person who speaks on your behalf during year end performance evaluation) , so they’re aware and can let you know how the firm can be of assistance. If they are aware, you can be accommodated and it’ll remain confidential. Your peers don’t need to know, as it might become the next hot office gossip. News unfortunately travels fast.
I wish I could help, but all I can say is, STAY STRONG. You got this babe and you have more support than you realize
So sorry to hear this happened. Don’t feel obligated to give specifics. Would discuss with your partner/senior manager/etc on your team that you are going through a personal matter that you would prefer not to go into details about at this time, but can they work with you to determine how you can take some time off/leave early certain days for therapy/take a leave etc. it’s most important to take care of yourself. Work will be there when you get back. Also think the idea above about HR/counselor is a good path
Don’t tell your coworkers. Document it with HR and see a physician.
I’m so sorry this happened to you. I agree with both EY1 and SC1, but how about getting into therapy so you can have someone to talk to outside of work. You certainly don’t have to tell your coworkers anything you don’t want to, and I wouldn’t. You can explain to management that you need x time for a personal issue, and that is all they need to know. You have to take care of yourself! I hope you find the help you need.
EY has a list of doctors you can talk to , maybe check if PWC does. This is traumatizing. I am truly and deeply sorry you are going through this. Stay strong and don’t hesitate to reach back again if you need to talk but I agree with above. You can inform HR and counselor, they will manage the rest. We are here if you need anything.
Second this! And use the PwC benefit where you get free mental health visits, I want to say five are covered?
I am so sorry to hear this. Upper management will definitely understand! I also encourage therapy. Love you girlfriend. You are stronger than you think and wise beyond your years. Much love
