I was brought into a role to be a ‘candidate experience specialist’ but I find that candidate experience is really just responding and following up w them as fast as possible so my manager is having me source on the side and schedule interviews for her. I’m feeling very unfulfilled considering I have 4 years of full cycle recruiting experience (2 years agency and 2 in-house). (Continued in comments)

You can propose a networking Program to put in contact Candidates with different people of the organisation ( to get know more about the culture, ERG, values etc)
Candidate experience is also very much linked to the employer branding, it’s a way to strength and spread it.

(1) I took this role bc I was hoping it would help me transition to a more onboarding/employee experience role in the future but bc there is really nothing more to candidate experience I’m stuck scheduling and sourcing. The company is pretty popular with over 500+ applicants for each role they hire for and has about ~600 employees. Is there anything else I could do as a candidate experience specialist that would make me feel like I’m not just texting/emailing candidates back asap? Anyone have any advice who has worked for a company that had a role like this? I want to do more but I really don’t know what else to do beyond what I’m doing now.

Depending on the systems and tracking in place, you could begin to measure the impact of your communications by tactic (email, text, call), test the subject lines, write content geared towards EVP and personas. Then you can begin to build the case for how candidate experience makes an impact on things like time to fill.

I appreciate you chiming in!

What is your general opinion about having 10 years of work ex (all in Industry) and having 2 offers : strategy consulting (EM level) in Big4 and slightly higher mid management role in another industry org in your own work ex domain in a new upcoming function of business?
Industry offer is paying higher currently FYI. Big4 wouldn't budge further, nor would the Big4 HR even reply to your other basic queries.

My role was just eliminated, and I need to replace it quickly. I have a solid lead on a new job but based on the job description I think it’s gonna be a lot less than I was making. First time poster here!

My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

I'm testing SPHR in June. Any advice for securing the type of role I'm aiming for?

I’ve been in my role since June of 2020 right after graduating college. I truly cannot say enough good things about my manufacturer but lately, as in the last 6ish months, I’ve truly been questioning whether there is more for me here.

As a 23 year old I know I’m more apt to hop or seek out other opportunities so I don’t want to be rash or just “toy around with leaving because I’m bored”. But at this point, I’ve reached my 2nd coaching (first was 4/2021) and it’s clear my role isn’t for me…..

What are your thoughts on PHR vs SPHR vs SHRM for someone with my years of experience and current role as a manager?

I am going to move in the next few month to a location with a higher cost of living due to personal circumstances. I love my current company but I’ve only been here a little over a month, how should I go about requesting if it’s possible to get a salary increase? Might be a stretch but thought it might be worth mentioning.
