Hello! I have 9 years total of healthcare experience and 5 years of that I was a Residential supervisor for a brain injury rehabilitation. I don’t have a degree only college credits I’m trying to obtain a Psychology degree. I’ve been applying to countless jobs on Indeed and barely get an call backs for an interview. I am pregnant with my 2nd and my job is very demanding. First trimester was bad for me with my first pregnancy and I took 2 months unpaid personal leave.
I can't afford that now and cannot risk my job. Not in public accounting anymore. I work in SEC reporting at a pharmaceutical company.

I am so thankful to be working from home for sure. I am just really dreaded to turn on my computer everyday with this hell of a morning sickness.

I remember when I first started working on my thesis project. My adviser asked me to get some funding for it, but he didn't give me any advice about how to do that. He just told me that if I wanted money for my project, I'd have to go through some kind of committee process and submit an application for funding from them. Sure enough, after weeks of writing applications and waiting around for responses from the committee members (who were always too busy), I eventually got approved for funding!

Sometimes I think the great coughening is what we deserve as humans. There clearly is a vaccine, clearly ways to mitigate the spread without shutting down, but people refuse to do the bare minimum.

I’ve been living in the UK for 5 years now - and I’m growing out of the whole drinking culture. Whenever I have friends from abroad visiting they’re shocked when they discover how much ppl drink. I’m no longer interested in going « out out » - but my partner is a big drinker (so are his friends). It’s making me uncomfortable at times. Every social activity here seems to have alcohol involved, and it’s making me question whether I want to stay in the UK.

Last year I had an irrational urge to build a table. This year I want to build a fume hood for my epoxy projects. 🥴 I think I’m in the wrong line of work

It was explained to me that at the end of the day you have a sit down with your partner/roommate/friend and “brain dump”—talk about anything that happened during the day, at work or personally that bothered you or happened so that you can get it all out before you go to sleep. Then you can start fresh each day. 😊 just thought I would share!

I’m realizing why I don’t want to celebrate my 30th bday and it’s embarrassing. when i think back, i’ve always made a big deal out of my bday, having parties and bringing friends together, or traveling to meet someone. it feels silly to admit, but no one ever brings me a gift and it’s bothering me. i’ve never gone to bday or any party empty handed. at the very least i’ll bring a bottle of wine, flowers, gift card, etc. could i be doing something to attract this, or do my friends just hate me?
