I was extended an offer over the weekend with a lateral firm. Along with the offer they provided a conflict checks form. I’m going to accept the offer, no doubt about it. But should I wait until some time after I submit the conflicts form and signed offer letter (i.e., a week) until providing my resignation with notice to my current firm? I originally intended submitting the signed offer and conflicts form Monday, then send out my resignation letter to my current firm right after.
Always wait until you clear conflicts

Definitely wait until conflicts are cleared! You never know what might come up. Even if you’re confident it’s better to be safe.
When I lateraled my new firm specifically told me to wait to give notice until I passed conflicts. Just in case...
Don't give notice until you clear conflicts.
I’ve had an offer pulled because a client wouldn’t give me a conflicts waiver. Always wait.
Thanks everybody. Definitely gonna wait!

Oh, and congratulations on the new job!!
Definitely wait. You don’t want to have any contingencies still outstanding when you give notice. Once you give notice, offer your firm 2 weeks to help transition your work and leave on a positive note.
