I was fired from Accenture as an analyst about 6 months ago. I have been looking for jobs, but keep getting rejected. Any guidance?

Guys, didn’t peace out. Literally cannot seem to find the responses to my post on Fishbowl...and not sure how to DM anyone lol

If you were counseled out for poor performance ( utilization, below rating etc...) that’s not getting fired. Getting fired means you did something really bad or violated policy and we’re terminated for cause!

Based on OP’s other post I read it as they were actually fired and didn’t want to discuss the reason

like

How many interviews have you gotten/did you at least make it to the final round?

I haven’t gotten any interviews! Literally keep getting automated rejection responses, and it must be because all of the applications ask if I’ve been fired before. Obviously I wouldn’t lie, so I mark that I have, indeed, been fired before. :(

Sign up with temp agencies in your field build new experiences. Employers care about your most RECENT positive experiences instead of the one down below that you were fired from.

EY's internal agency is Gignow.

Hey OP I was a recruiter in a former life. Now I review and update resumes as a side hustle. DM me if you want me to take a look

How much do you charge and what are your qualifications?

I do think that unless you were fired for an ethical cause, you should answer those questions “no” on the form and talk about it if needed as a lay-off. You might just be getting automatic responses because so few places are hiring right now also. Might just need to ride out the COVID wave. Hang in there! I had to get a job at a froyo shop a few years ago between jobs to keep paying rent. Was actually a nice break in a way while I kept searching. If you have to do something like that, go for it and don’t feel bad. You will get there. I promise this is just a phase

We’re running a free career change workshop where am discussing resume and LinkedIn. OP you might be served by that. Here’s the link to sign up- bit.ly/crush-your-career-change

How did you get fired as an analyst?

It seems like it was for cause not performance. OP peaced out of all their previous posts after people asked why they were fired and avoided the question.

Boyfriend has seemed to be dropping a ton on me lately, even after I got bad news that my company is t doing so hot this week and layoffs are approaching. First it was that we may be moving to another state for his job, then it was that his brother may need to move in with us for a few months after he graduates

It’s just a bit overwhelming at this time and I’m not sure how to communicate through all of this being thrown at me. 3 yrs together and we were friends for many years before that.

First time poster here!

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

I'm testing SPHR in June. Any advice for securing the type of role I'm aiming for?

I have a lot of exposure to big tech and sp500 across my brokerage account and retirement accounts. I recently opened a Roth IRA and have 6k in it to invest. I know the default strategy is to invest in a fund that tracks sp500 but I do that everywhere else regularly. Is there anything else like VYM you recommend? I’m targeting dividend growth ones since it’s a Roth IRA ..

Considering a move in-house to NBC Universal in any litigation role (though I’d really go to wherever there is a need, whether litigation or business affairs generally). Coming from 4th year law firm litigation experience in a variety of areas but mostly data breach, e-discovery, breach of K. Do I apply with an employee referral or via LinkedIn recruiter that reached out? Alternatively, if anyone has experience applying/at NBCU, I’d so appreciate general advice :) TIA.

Would you strongly advise against going in-house right after a state court clerkship? (No law firm experience in law school either). I don’t know if I want to become an in-house forever. Would it be difficult to get a law firm job at a later time?
