Marsh & McLennan I am moving 2 hours from my office. My manager says i have to come 2 days to office. When i come to the office its only me and couple of other people. No one seems to care about coming to office. When i asked manager if i can work remote i was told that its for my career development. Can you guys tell in Canada which companies are offering remote opportunities?

I've worked at the same engineering firm for 4 years. I'm currently making $161k with only a $750 bonus, but excellent vacation (4 weeks, cash out anytime, rolls over indefinitely), 45 hours a week. I have an interview with a recruiter at Guidehouse this week for a Technical Project Manager role. It seems to be focused in the government space and requires a security clearance. What sort of salary and benefits could I expect for this sort of role at Guidehouse?

No guilt in wanting self care. ♥️

To be fair, If my wife wanted a weekend away by herself I’d be very ok with. She deserves it even more than I do.
You are only a terrible human being if you didn’t come back. Maybe create space by sending your wife out for a getaway first. Assuming she will appreciate it, you can take that first to normalising “me” time aka self care.
Humans didn’t evolve to be isolated and constrained. COVID has really pushed our limits of surviving isolation.
You should still take a trip alone!!
Book a room for a weekend. She gets it the first half and you get the second.
