I think that is the responsible thing to do. My district has set it up so we can be tested for free as often as we like.
Good idea. It doesn’t take much to be positive. My husband, two grown daughters, 3 grandkids and myself were all together on Halloween. One of us had Covid. Now we all have Covid. (Don’t know about the grands, they didn’t test). I am 60, and worry that I am going to end up in the hospital because I have an underlying condition. I am still at home. Thankfully today I am feeling much better. I think it’s very wise of you to get tested for her sake and your peace of mind.
I believe you made the responsible choice.
You did the right thing!

Thank you for getting tested. If everyone would just take this thing seriously, we wouldn't be in this mess.
You are being responsible. Wish that everyone else was.
It is an excellent idea that you put the safety of others ahead of your own intwresty. This is how all of us should be.
We are expendable
Technically you don’t have to test. But everyone does to err on the side of caution.
I think you should get tested.
We have to quarantine if we come in close contact with a positive COVID. Up to us if we test - if we don’t have symptoms.
I would agree with your principal. No need to test unless you know that the person who tested positive had symptoms within 48 hours of Halloween. Otherwise it’s not likely the person was contagious that long ago.
Do what’s right for you!
