Hi all: Received a Technical Recruiter offer from a retained search firm located in the US. Is this a good offer? I renegotiated once and this is the offer I received today.
Base: $50,000
Monthly Commission: 10% of client fee once placed ($25k avg client fee)
Retainer fee: 10% of 5% client fee paid up front
First 6mths: No commission on first $15k but paid 10% commission on difference. Ex: If the fee is $25k, will be paid 10% commission on only $10k ($25k - 15k = $10k)
PTO: Unlimited

We are visiting Seattle on vacation for 4 days. Planning to go to Vancouver for 1 day. What are the good places to visit in 3 days in /around Seattle.

After a year of unemployment post-college Ive now been working as an Assistant MP for 2 full months and have officially started feeling burnout. Haven’t taken PTO yet. Today and this past week have been ROUGH, despite the average work load. Actually overslept for the first time today. Anyone have tips for motivation? Feeling a bit of shock setting in as my routine changed so rapidly. I really just wanna ensure that I can keep the motivation needed to move up in the industry long term. Thanks :)

Company only has 3 sick days and pto accrual so when I’m feeling like crap, I pretty much have to work regardless of if it’s the most unproductive day ever or not. I try to save the sick days basically for true emergencies. Tips on how to deal / stay sane? How do you either push through working while sick and not get depressed about it, or basically slack off all day and not feel guilty?

Thinking of quitting week of 4th of July. Do you think they would let me finish out the full 2 weeks (have off Thurs & Fri) or do you think they’d tell me to not come back after the holiday weekend?
