Sorry to hear about that OP. You should ask your recruiter to take it forward for another role..
Better luck next time
Which role and when? I am also being interviewed right now by google. Pretty nervous tbh
Ouch. Sorry to hear! Definitely keep in touch with the recruiter and HM and ask for another role.
OP, Google recruiting process is the most chaotic I've ever seen. I interviewed for a role. The 1st 3 rounds were great. On the on-site day, 1 interviewer cancelled 2 hrs before! the other one showed up 30 min late without appologies (was supposed to be my manager). During our convo he said "i have no vision for my team yet"....
Long story short: 10 min after our conversation (on site with the most clueless "Manager") I had already made my mind that this group is not an interesting place to work at. Gave up even burning brain cells to answer his case questions.
When the recruiter called to tell me that "the last interview was not as expected as the 1st 3 ones", my answer was "THE SAME, DUDE!".
The only think thou missed is the RSU. Which is a big Financial deal. But you'd trade a nice work environment, culture, learning , and a seamless operations for that. That was my take away from Google.
So true their process is all over the place
