What's wrong with the NC offer? MA would be nice but if they're not responding I wonder if its a trap to move you to start date without negotiating a salary
The NC offer is good actually, just the hours, it's the evening shift and I'm used to being home and in bed by 10 lol
Lifelong North Carolinian here…definitely the better option. MA is expensive and while GA isn’t, ATL certainly is. NC has a couple higher cost areas such as Charlotte and RDU, but still lesser than the other options. Solid place to live with access to a lot of good areas (mountains, beach, etc).
Come to NC. I live in Charlotte
The fact that Atl is throwing a lowball at you and won't contact you back are good signs it wouldn't be a nice place to work. I'd go for NC, personally. Or MA if you can negotiate higher.
North Carolina's healthcare market is the most promising in my opinion. The cost of living isn't as expensive as MA.
As someone who is originally from NC and currently live in the burbs of ATL, go with NC. The cost of living here in Atlanta is HIGH! it's definitely not worth it at 17/hr. If you will be in the Charlotte area then Atl is not that far of a drive if you ever wanted to visit.
Thank you. Yes my brother does that drive all the time and he said it's relatively a short drive. Oh my I'm getting excited 😊
All I can say is not MA. I live in MA and cost of living is very expensive
Yeah I was thinking to myself is the colder winters and that pay enough to move there? I feel bad though, the whole interview team and HR Specialist have been so wonderful..they do have the best hours tho 8a to 4p lol
Don’t go to MA that is a low ball offer
Are you a nurse? Manager ? I just took a manager position in Upstate NY for $108000.
No. But congratulations on your new position!!🎉
Choose North Carolina
North Carolina seems like the best option
North Carolina sounds like the better option!
Moved from GA last Sept, lived tbere 34 years. Cost of housing or rent is unaffordable. I made bank when I sold my home. Good for me, but not for buyers/renters.
Wow! My reason for wanting to be in GA is because i have family and friends there but most were saying the same thing, I'd have to most likely get a 2nd job or side gig to comfortably pay rent.
Ma and Can and med tech how are you
Go with NC, if you don't mind the hours.
Hours aren't bad, I'm just used to the day shift hours when I was working. It would just be a minor change. Besides i get weekends off plus only one major holiday
If your goal for right now is to gain additional experience go to NC. Adjusting to the night shift is just a mind shift. Making a temporary change to get where you want to be GA, then do what you have to do.
Thank you.
My dear friend holy cow thats low wages. Im making 50 an hour in Utah and in New Mexico I will be making 45 an hour. MA is soooo expensive. You should consider GA
Georgia is pricey, and a full time job in GA needs to start at $20 for you to be comfortable. MA is also pretty pricey, as many states are up north. NC would be my choice.
I would choose NC
That is very low for Mass. Depending on where you would even be trying to live. Try looking at housing costs for locations near by. Speaking as a Masshole.
Georgia is getting pretty expensive.. I am lucky enough to have my own home. Rent has gone up significantly as well as taxes and utilities in the last 10 years! Pay for nursing and healthcare has decreased as cost of living has increased.. corporate medicine!!! Stay away!!! I’m from New York and my sisters live in Massachusetts… 24 dollars an hour is not not enough to live on up there!! North Carolina would be my choice!!!
So it's safe to say I can make a decent living in NC on that pay rate.
