Anyone have tips for maintaining productivity/energy when pregnant and off of meds? Between the pregnancy fatigue and going off my medication cold turkey, I am struggling at work and find myself napping everyday.
Do you believe the behavior we are witnessing this year is the new normal or will things return back to normal next year?
What are your bedtime routines for having two kids? We have a really good one for our toddler, but now need to put down our baby around the same time. Are you able to have a set routine for a baby and a toddler together or separate? Or is it more of a wishlist of tasks and order depending on how the evening goes and how the toddler behaves?
Toddler’s school keeps having more flu cases. We have the option to keep her home because we have a full time nanny for our baby. Do we basically just keep her home for a while?
Parents who have or have had a baby. How was the first year or two for you? Was it awesome, was it terrible, did it change your relationship with your partner? Did you regret it, did you want out? I've heard that having a baby can really change things between you and your partner and that a lot of marriages fall apart at that point. Just interested in stories and feedback. Also curious if one partner kind of pressured the other into having a child/was driving force in wanting the baby.
I am exhausted and upset and feel alone, just want to give up everything and walk away. Nanny got Covid full rest for four days, husband got Covid at the same time and full rest, I handled my 9 month old alone. Baby still gets up multiple times in the night. I have 101 fever and I don’t get to rest because everyone is not feeling fully well still. I have to do night duty and handle two projects in the day because the partners are busy and the client deliverables are otherwise falling apart. Cont
Struggling to emotionally connect with my 3mo old. Between a full work schedule and looking after our older child (a precocious 3yo), I feel like I have little emotional bandwidth to connect with the baby. My wife is breastfeeding and doing the bulk of the work, but when I pitch in to change a diaper or burp him (often while also on a call), it feels very transactional. Feel pretty guilty about it. Does anyone relate? Or am I an outlier?
Is it just me or do u feel irritated too when u talk to someone about your baby and in response, they start taking about their pet...like it’s the same thing or havin a child is like havin a pet..cont
For those pregnant or with a newborn, how cautious are you with quarantining? We’ve been somewhat safe (still going to Walgreens, groceries, etc once in a while to grab stuff) but it’s been hard being cooped up for so long!
Does a senior VP in a relatively "no-name" company (like Johnson and Johnson) make more than an entry level Program Manager in Google?
Just got an e-mail this morning abt a clients kid who received a 10k gift from the husband's sister. Net worth include their house around 700k. How often do you see people getting gifts of this kind?
Is anyone familiar with if there’s a clawback period on resigning when you go back from maternity leave at Accenture? I wasn’t really planning to look and may have an offer coming up that’s too good to turn down, but don’t want to have to pay back my 4 months maternity pay.
Anyone been able to get baby to sleep 12 hours without CIO? I feel horrible letting baby cry for >5mins. Baby is about 3 months and has 2 nightly wake-ups (7P-3A, 3A-5A, 5A-7A)... any advice?
Cheapest thing you've done after making more than $100K: (e.g. Taking toiletries from a hotel)
I live in one of the most expensive cities in the US, and even with combined incomes of $600k, my SO and I can not afford (nor justify) a 3-bedroom house (median price north of $2M). We also work nonstop and I don’t know how we’ll be able to raise a family with our workload and COL. Looking to relocate and find a new job where I work 40 hours a week so I can raise a family, where COL is much lower but we don’t take a massive pay cut. Does such a place exist?? Or am I looking for a fairy tale?
Being a single parent, I'm pretty miserable living in a city away from my family & "support system". Considering moving back but there is practically no professional jobs where my family lives. Help😩
I’m pregnant, scared, and afraid to tell my partner. Neither of us want a baby right now but I’m scared terminating the pregnancy would ruin our relationship (i’ve heard stories of some men having resentment about it). At the same time we’re not ready to have a baby and that won’t help either. i just feel like this might be the beginning of the end of our relationship so part of me just wants to handle the is on my own. idk what to do.
Where can I get a nice dress for my baby shower? Looked at Macys maternity dresses and I don’t really fancy any of them. TIA.
My husband and I are having a very small baby shower and invited only about 20 people and made sure they’re all vaccinated. Two of our best friends have been having trouble conceiving and they and their spouses declined. I understand how painful it must be, but honestly I’m very hurt (they are literally our best friends and it won’t be the same without them). Any advice how to cope?

Anyone else OK with what they do, but it’s not what they want to do down the line ? Advice for finding a field more of interest ?
When the world's most unorganized manager hits you up with project requests at 10 p.m. that could've been delegated at 3 p.m...
