I was offered an administrative position after I was officially offered the position, I asked if it was possible to negotiate the compensation. I was told that I’ve agreed to the compensation when I applied. My response was that if my 12 years of experience was considered. I was told the compensation team was gonna be contacted and rapidly ended the call. I followed up with an email, Is being 2 days with no response. Should I move on?

There is missing info from this post, so as a reader.. nothing makes sense. What was the original position offered? Was it different from administration? If so, is the new position a step down or step up for you? Negotiation can sometimes take up to a week before they get back with the first counteroffer. They have to go through channels of hiring managers and HR. If you want it sped up, just tell them you have another offer with a deadline.

I applied for an administrative position. During the first round of phone interviews compensation wasn’t discussed I was given a range. I agreed and said that at the moment I was open to any offers. I still had no sufficient information about the role to come up with a wanted salary. After all the interviews I was called to officially be given the offer that’s when I asked if compensation could be negotiated. I haven’t received a reply since then.

Okay I understand. Recruiters usually work within a salary band (the range they offered) for each role, but it is not concrete and can always be negotiated later. When they ask that question at the beginning of the process, it’s just to clear you to move onto the next rounds. But it is normal to change your salary expectations as you learn more about the role. Negotiations and counteroffer definitely take time because of internal channels. I would wait at least a week before following up. If you don’t hear after that 1 week follow up, I would move on to be honest.

Hey all! I have recently moved to a full time position wfh as a trial manager. It has been a struggle wfh so I am reconsidering my options. What positions are out there possible for transition for on site, except CRA?

My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? Do you ever have moments where you're like wow that actually is eye opening and I wouldn't have gotten that from reading self help books and websites etc?

I am a practice manager and I work with two older doctors who either complain about everything from notes to schedules etc. and even with the amount of time and effort I’ve put into to address those concerns I.e. setting admin time, utilizing PA’s and NP’s managing schedules within the office- even had to sit next to a doctor to make sure he’s completing his notes during 30min admin time- they still manage to complain! It’s driving me insane. What should I do?
