I was offered variable salary of 10% of the CTC but in is not mentioned in the offer letter. Is this variable is paid as bonus in KGS? Or is there any other bonus external to it Is the bonus is more or less than 10 % or is it fixed?

I got an offer that I’m really excited about and I would start in a little over a month. I really wanted to put in two weeks and have my last day be the same day that my bonus is paid out. I’m desperate to get time off before this new job and they already offered a great signing bonus. Should I put in the two weeks and hope for the best or is it basically impossible that they would still give me the bonus? If I know they aren’t giving me the bonus then I would be ready to just leave immediately.

I am noticing that McKinsey is increasingly recruiting at non-elite schools (very roughly speaking not top 15 schools). At my old undergrad, 5 years ago the most competitive firm to show up was EY. This year McKinsey took 4 non-internship full hires. Why is McKinsey going “down market” for recruiting? Are elite school kids losing interest in consulting so McK has to cast a wider net? Or is McK seeking a wider pool for other reasons? I advise undergrads on consulting so want to be best informed.
