I was on Adderall for much of college and the early part of my careers. I had to go off due to negative side effects. My doctor recommended I take Wellbutrin for my “adult” adhd. Anyone have experience using Wellbutrin for adhd?

I have been on Wellbutrin as an antidepressant for almost 20 years. I just got my diagnosis of ADHD and now take adderall. For me it’s not even a comparison. But I have zero side effects from either. At first the Wellbutrin made me jumpy like I’d had too much caffeine but that went away after a few days. Good luck!

I had a similar experience as well when taking Wellbutrin. It gave me a constant nervous feeling, especially while driving. I stopped taking it after a few weeks due to the side effects.

I took Wellbutrin for a bit. I don’t recall it helping the adhd but it helped with depression. I had side effects- restless legs. But better than other types of antidepressants

I was on Wellbutrin as my first medication. It did not work for me but did help manage my anxiety. I have since been put on adderall and I find that it works better for me personally. But every person is different so it is def worth giving a try.

Looking for advice/input:

I’ve dealt with ADHD my entire life, although was just diagnosed last year. Throughout my career (assurance>industry>consulting), I’ve been able to “outwork” everyone else in the office to counter the lack of focus and other associated faux pas associated with the disorder. Recently have hot a point where I can’t put in the hours (3 yo/fam), and my work has taken a major hit. Anyone in consulting/assurance have any methods for managing this when it comes to PM duties?

GMAT takers. On exam day did you (and do you recommend):
1. Not taking stimulants (after taking them daily) /

Whew this group is a relief to find. No one at my job knows I have ADHD, and I only have one other friend with it. I manage a team of people and the stress of checking, double checking, and triple-checking everything to make sure I'm not forgetting anything or behind on anything is insane. I've kind of got the hang of keeping focus during work hours, but I'm just constantly on edge that someone will notice or I'll start falling behind.

I feel like the parts of ADHD that don't suck aren't talked about that much (and I need a reminder, desperately). The one thing I like is my ability (when I can get my brain to work) to focus hard and get something done in a short amount of time. If I'm really locked in, I can get a serious amount of work done fast. feel free to add yours (please lmao💀).

Hello,

I just wanna say that my head feels better since I take lion's mane extract. I stopped zoning out, I have less narrations in my head simultaneously. I can actually do tasks on almost time. If someone wants to try, it's mandatory to take vitamin c with it. It's a life changer for me. I wanted to share it.

Hi! I’m a young professional with less than 2 years experience, started a new job 1.5 months ago. I’m having quite some difficulties on balancing out my response time to tasks. While I act incredibly fast if not immediately with some, I sometimes take 1-2 weeks with couple of hours worthy ones. Sometimes I ignore, procrastinate or simply other more urgent things come up to increase the delay. Also I work with 3 managers in my team which doesn’t help with expectations nor guidance. Any tips pls?

Do you think all adhd-ers work better from home? For those who were diagnosed as an adult can you provide some insight into how you were able to obtain a diagnosis. I went to my primary care dr who referred me to another dr who specialized in mental health. He asked me about 5 questions before telling me I should see a neuropsychologist for an official assessment. The referral he gave me is super pricey and apparently isn’t covered by insurance. Is that normal?

Can anyone relate? If I’m stressed out, I can’t focus on my tasks because my productivity is driven by creative and explorative thought. When I’m stressed or anxious, my mind doesn’t have the room or space to think freely to get things done, and I end up bouncing around different tasks not getting anything done. And then there’s the whole dopamine addiction issue with doing a small amount of work then hopping on social media because you feel like you need the reward. Just me?

Has anyone else tried Strattera, had success, and a few months later felt like work was a struggle again? Am I imagining it?
