I was on PTO last week and had some follow up interviews for a role I was interested in.

The bad news is, I promptly forgot to send thank you notes! (Family PTO in Disney/Kennedy Space Center - so a bit crazed!). I am back in the office today and sent the notes... but, I am wondering how big an issue this could be.

I have 7 plus experience in c++. I am trying new job within Chennai location but I am getting 1 or 2 interview calls for a month. I know c++ is old language and openings are very less and competitor people also less.

It's become clear the role is something I'm very well qualified for, but their pay expectations for the role are much lower than mine. I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

Been since May 23rd that I’ve completed my background check. Called the 3rd party company and they said the background check has been sent to the hiring company for review as of last Friday.
