Anyone here interested in a full-time remote role as a Sourcing Specialist at On Deck? I'll be looking to add one more person to my team by May 2022.
If you understand sourcing as a concept and you want to really improve your craft, please let me know. I enjoy doing sourcing and I believe I can help you level-up. I'm open to people in North/South America, Europe, Africa.

This is really alarming behavior from your manager. When people show you who they are, believe them!
Time to search for a new job. If you have down time on vacation, do some job hunting and send in some applications!
She would go to your funeral and give a eulogy about how understaffed they are because you rudely up and died.
Report this person to hr with documentation
The advice to look for a new job is premature. This behavior should be reported to HR.
Yes of course though it might take me a while to find it.
Start looking for another job, that’s not ok at all.
Or offer to scale back your holiday by the days missed, idk
Absolutely do not scale back your vacation.
Tell HR while applying to new jobs. She sounds like a pure 🍑 🕳.
“Peach Pit” clearly ;)
I think that’s my new third-level-cut cuss word. It’s perfect; an innocuous phrase masquerading as a literal translation from an emojification of a true insult.
I love it!

Yeah no that’s not acceptable. Start looking asap.

Are you feeling better?
Tell her deez, and then she goes, deez what? Then ya say, lick deez nutz! Pceeee bishhh
I’m so overwhelmed by all the messages and support on this post! Thank you all so so much! I’ve starting looking for another job. I reported the situation to HR but was pretty much told that I would have it worse in another company and I should be grateful. I work in the fashion industry so I guess it’s normal to be treated crap? I’ve decided if I don’t have a new job in a month I’m just gonna leave and take a little hiatus. I’m feeling much better now thank you so much again to you all ❤️
You work for Miranda priestly? Toss that phone in the fountain dear.
Companies know who the bad managers are that result in staff leaving but choose not to do anything about it.
I’m sorry you’ve had such bad HR experiences. That speaks to a company that doesn’t invest in its people. There are a lot of us out there who do care and do whatever we can, but we tend to leave those companies pretty quickly because they’re not interested in improving.
Wow. Hope you're feeling better. If you are, go on your vacation. Then come back and start looking for a new job. What she is doing is beyond unreasonable.
Please please share this documentation with HR. If possible request to move to another team or start searching for another position. Your boss’s behavior is unacceptable, they lack emotional intelligence. I hope you’re ok.

Get better, go on your vacation, and get a new job. You should report her to HR but she won’t change - maybe for a few weeks - but she’s crossed a bridge from which there is no return.
Had a similar issue, I was hospitalized after a very serious urgent surgery and my boss kept sending me stuff to do because (in his words) he knew "I liked it"🤦♀️🤦♀️. No HR where I work, my title is just a fancy way of saying "total slave for a workaholic boss". His EA quit after only 2 weeks and even though I am still recovering, the guy won't let up on sending me stuff to do.But according to him it's ok because he prefaces everything with "health comes first but if you could please do....". I am a contractor so I only get paid for the hours I work meaning I haven't gotten paid for nearly 3 weeks so I have to grin and bear it and do what I can while still in so much post-op pain...total nightmare.Applying to jobs but at nearly 60 years old it's slim pickings out there...ugh
Chief of Staff- as you said, if they are asking what year you graduated HS, they are obviously doing so as a way to infer your age. This is technically illegal. The only time they are allowed to ask anything regarding age is when they have to verify that an applicant is legally old enough to work the job (I.e. older than 18). My father had similar difficulties job searching in his 60s, but did find something stable after a time. I wish you the best in your search and that your next employer respects your health, time, and experience!
Woah
Company is losing good people like you but doesn’t know what exactly happened. The person should leave is your manager, but how can the company know it’s actually the bad people at higher level made the good lower level people leave, that’s the question.
Start looking for a job. One time, I went to ER and the next day I was in ER I still had to work to finish a tax audit, I was at Deloitte that time.
OP do you have an update for us? Did anything come of this? Hope you’re ok
