What is one thing you wish HR would start, stop, or continue to do post Covid-19 that would help support employees and drive the business forward?
Evaluating an offer from a start-up but would be missing out on many pre-tax benefits that lower my taxable income. Any great websites that help me figure what I’m losing in tax so I can neg. salary?
Hello 🐠, I’m building a site where you can find travel recommendations from your friends and family! It seems like I’m not the only one who asks around for word of mouth suggestions (looking at the posts on this bowl 🙂). With all of the travelling that we do (pre/post covid) I know you all have great recommendations from personal, flex, and work travel. It’ll be launching soon so please sign up if sounds like something you’d use - I’d also love to get your thoughts! www.travoshare.com
How do people generally invest in stocks long term ? I bought some stocks last month for mid-long term. But once the market stabilizes, do people keep adding more monthly like 401k or wait for....
I need to tell someone this because it’s funny but also embarrassing so this seems like a good place...36 weeks pregnant and have a cold. While blowing my nose, I totally peed myself 😬🤰🏼🤧💦🤷🏼♀️

If you max out your employer match for 401k and also the annual limit for Roth IRA, where to invest next? Put more in 401k or somewhere else?
I’ve seen a couple posts lately with comments saying that people should not use a Roth 401k. Does the logic below capture the spirit of that concept? 1. Use trad. 401k to reduce taxable income now. Convert to trad. IRA once retired, then convert gradually to Roth IRA (ladder, SEPP, etc.) at lowest marginal tax rate 2. Use Roth IRA (and/or backdoor Roth) to take advantage of tax free growth and ability to withdraw principal early without penalty
Do people on h1 invest in. 401k? How do you take the money when you go back? Also ey is giving 4000usd for a 401k deposit to manager n below who have their 2nd ann after 1 jan 17.

Thoughts on moving during quarantine and corona virus times? Our lease is up at the end of June, we can probably resign but I’m not even living there right now as I went home.
Traditional or Roth? 401K or IRA? Factors to consider? Eligible for any above (income/age) and want to maximize value through tax/investing strategy for retirement. In early 30’s $100-125K income.
Technical and charting junkies: I’m seeing huge ascending triangle/rising wedge patterns (albeit in a downtrend) in what I’d consider industries that were hit pretty hard by covid (cont’d)
I have roughly 20K sitting in a high yield savings account as an emergency fund. Maxed out 401K but no other savings. Should I use half of it to pay down part of my 18K in student loans? I just worry
For those of you in cities like NYC and SF, how do you view colleagues that get pregnant a few years after b-school/around age ~30-31, ie several years before your “biological clock” necessitates it?
What’s “the mommy track?” Do moms who have flex hours and take time off to tend to their kids after maternity leave have lower salaries? If not, can I “mommy track” with no kids?
I don’t have a CS background. Is it impossible to become a SWE at a reputable company without going back to school to get a CS degree? Or if I learn on my own, would it be possible to get and pass a SWE interview? Would I have to restart at entry level?
What are the general expectations/responsibilities for a manager on a tech implementation? I know it depends on the role but generally speaking for most implementations?
Are airlines extending the expiration dates on vouchers? I have $400 in AA vouchers expiring in a month and I prefer to not travel. Any recommendations / loopholes would be much appreciated!
Has anyone been successful in negotiating more severance? I’ve been offered a month, but I don’t think I can survive just on it. Only have 2 months saved up.
Does a new US visa override a previous one? I had B1/B2 earlier and then got an F1. Now I’m outside of the country. Can I still use the previous B1 visa to visit? The visa is valid on the passport
I have seven years' experience in executive search (based in APAC but have worked on global roles) and want to leave the industry for either an in-house talent role or a consulting firm. I haven't had much luck when I've applied for internal roles in the past. Do I have any chance at getting an in-house talent acquisition role, or is an executive search skill set just regarded as too weird/not the right fit for internal talent teams?
trying to match 401k up to my employer and thinking about opening up roth ira through schwab for roth IRA, make sense?
For folks in federal, Does having a Secret or TS/SCI clearance increase job security or salary? I'm curious to know how much value firms place on individuals with a clearance.
Do you guys think the recent news about Deutsche bank (cutting 20k ) will impact their Anti Fin Crimes groups ? I’m negotiating with them a VP role and not sure it’s a good time to join - thoughts ?

Hey guys, I am a self taught programmer and I love it. I do not know the competitive programming concepts and tricks which you find at alert code etc. I’m right now leading a dev team with one of FAANG as clients, where I also code daily. I am guessing that the TPM role is most suited to my profile. I have 2 quest - 1) How do I up my “manager” game and 2) Is TPM the correct role if I want to stay technical and not lose that touch. Thanks!
I work in m&a mostly doing PMI, divestiture work, and ODD. Any type of role I could move into FAANG at? Know Corp dev is usually for bankers or MBB folks
