Hi Fishes,
Can anyone please give a genuine insight into the frontend developer interview process for experienced candidates in Apple?
Do everyone irrespective of their experience needs to prepare for DSA? Or they just want the frontend developer to be proficient in HTML, CSS and JS just like they mention in JD. And also do they consider people from Tier 3 colleges?
Google Application Tips?
Team - I have been applying to numerous roles at google for the past several months, with no success despite referrals. There are roles where my resume literally describes each bullet in the role requirement, yet no luck. Am I missing something? Are there things that folks have tried that have worked for getting google interviews?

For over 15 years I held customer support roles in a variety of industries. At the same time developing skills in other areas; such as being ordained as a Zen priest and receiving an Integral Coach certification. After being laid off in May, I decided to pursue my coaching business full time.
My question is, for those who have sought out coaching, which area of your life did you focus on first and why?
Executive summaries are so stupid and pointless unless you're on LinkedIn or writing a cover letter.
@author, you can't really tie these two very separate roles together. I would try (if even possible) to explain how each role separately can help you perform in the new role you're chasing in a cover letter. The resume isn't the place for even high level explanations of how you can apply experience to the role. It's basically a fact sheet that explains your experiences and accomplishments.
You want 3 to 5 bullets that are the themes of your experience. These should be SEO friendly. Don’t use jargon that only makes sense to your company. Make sure it makes sense to your field or industry. You want to be able to answer why you are THE PERSON for the solution. Then those themes are threaded through the resume. My coach told me that your resume is not about YOU. Neither is your LI profile. It’s always about THEM. What do they need? Why are you the best fit? Also you can tweak keywords a bit on the resume but she said 80% of the roles over $100k are not posted. Whether that’s the next step for you now or later it’s why you resumes has to match your LI profile. Having multiple resumes makes it hard to have your resume match your profile. The average recruiter spends 6 seconds on your resume and looks at 20-30 LI profiles an hour. My coach said That’s why your ‘marketing materials’ need to be able what THEY are looking for. Hope that helps.
Hey, sorry for the delay. I used JillGriffinCoaching.com
It’s always good to have a couple of different resumes tailored to specific roles that you are applying to
Thank you.
If the individual who told you you need an executive summary is YOUR head hunter, then they should help you write it.
Not exactly mine. They approached me about a local position but it turns out the company was looking for more of an IT background. When I asked them for feedback that’s what they told me.
I wouldn’t use bullet points. Instead, write a couple of sentences summarizing # of years experience, relevant skills to the roles you’re targeting, and the type of role you want. Just a quick blurb.
