What are some good questions to ask in an interview to determine the financial strength of an agency? It’s an independent agency without any public financial information.
Submitted a writing test as the next stage in the interview process and received an email last night that they want to discuss next steps tomorrow morning (meaning today). I replied back cont.
3 years ago, I interviewed someone who didn’t get the job. They emailed me weeks after, and asked, “I don’t care if I don’t get the job, I just want to be friends.” I never responded. Still feel bad
Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.
I interviewed for an internship at an agency I wasn’t super excited about, but wanted to get some interview practice in. When I met the ACD who interviewed me, we really hit it off and it made me (..)
Anyone exit to Facebook as an analytics business partner or know someone who has? A recruiter reached out to me and set up an interview for this week. How was the interview process at the time? How’s the role, pay, WLB now?
760 GMAT, 3.76 GPA in engineering from a top 40 university. White male LGBT, 4 years at Big 4 Tech Consulting at matriculation. Planning on applying to HBS, Wharton, Kellogg, Ross, and Fuqua. Any thoughts on my chances?
When I interviewed for Accenture I didn't have a case study question. I was wondering if anyone else had the same experience?
Interviewed for a job and the interview, while grueling, went well. There was a panel and an exercise. I have decided it’s not the right fit for me. What is the best way to decline? I feel bad for the
I interviewed with an ECD mid-last week and immediately after got some bad news that completely derailed the rest of my week. Because of that, I never even thought about sending a thank you email, but I’m now realizing that probably looks bad. Any tips on how to deal with this?
Looking for advice. Have an upcoming tech case study as a final interview stage for VP technology consulting role. There is nothing to prepare in advance. Interviewer will brief me over Zoom and give me the case study instructions. I have the remainder of the first hour to prepare based on the scenario provided. In the second hour, I will present my response to the case study to a panel. Afterwards, there will be an additional time for interview questions and discussion with the panel.
Best way to prep for the McKinsey PEI interview?
Best ways to live and work (in consulting) internationally? Firm has a global deployment program but many just quit the US firm after applying / getting hired to another country's member firm.
Is anyone from McKinsey willing to answer a few questions about the interview process? Applied to a few roles. Wanted to find out if there is a way to increase the odds of getting an interview.
Need to vent. I have been interviewing candidates for a role on my team and finally found a candidate I want to hire. It’s been 7 months of interviewing and I was very excited to have him on board. This candidate just so happens to be Asian. A week after I submitted my feedback - heard back from the hiring committee that the packet was rejected and asked me to re-interview an URM candidate who has the lowest average interview score on my list. Now I have to restart the whole process for D&I😞
Had last stage interview b4 on-site last week and it went v well. I requested quick feedback cos I have 2 offers although this oppty is my top preference. It’s been a week of crickets. Should I wait?
I’m doing a video interview tomorrow with another big 4. If it was in the office, I’d wear a suit. It’s not obviously so what do I wear?
What do you like or dislike about working in public sector? I’ve been given the option to join a govt project, but not sure if it’s for me
Consulting firms, how does your company use utilization as a performance metric? And what are your targets (e.g, Junior practitioners vs senior)
Wife went into labor 3 weeks early (they're both doing great now) so I had to take PTO yesterday and today. Client just accused me of "faking it" to buy time on a project. Worth it to be petty (cont)
Hello Childfree Friends! Question (slightly grim but I intend for it to be lighthearted)— what do people without kids plan on doing with their estate/ wealth once you’re sniffing the daisies? People always talk about how they’re “working to leave something for the kids” and unfortunately I don’t think my fur baby legally counts. It’s been something on my mind lately & I’d love to hear what others who are child-free are planning. There’s obviously spouse, parents, siblings, but what else?
Isn’t the new Deloitte GPS comp model going to piss off high performers and make them leave and make low performers happy and encourage them to stay?
Delta flight delayed and will miss the connecting flight. Got put on a Alaskan flight. 2.5 delay to the destination. How many extra miles can I ask for? Not sure if it matters but Silver Med
Any tips on trying to network and interview while on the road constantly? Trying to exit into strategy & ops roles at startups it’s incredibly hard to network while traveling
How can I set the stage this year to negotiate a lower billable hours expectation instead of a raise? As a woman I'm hesitant to be open about my reason: I want more time at home with my kids. I lateraled to this firm a year ago for WLB and they are indeed flexible on WFH which helps. Salary is a bit below average for mid-size firms like mine in my area, and I didn't get a raise or bonus this year because I didn't hit the billable target (1900). Ideally I'd keep my salary but go to 1600 hours.
Im applying to this startup that has two positions that im really interested in. I already sent my app for one where I think my chances are better. Should I send an email to tell them Im interested in the other position as well, or would this be strange / weird?
I always forget how traveling to LAX is half flying, half just getting across the fucking tarmac
Partner keeps offering to help (which I appreciate) but every time she tells me she drafted something it’s always missing the details that take the longest to track down, request, confirm, or otherwise figure out.
How is it working in ATL 🐠 friends?
Covid made me realize____ Me: other than work, family, friends, I have no purpose. I have no personal goals. What is the purpose of my life? Single 45 F 🐠 no kids.
