I was wondering if anyone has experienced a two week delay after HR has called to discuss an offer and you don’t hear back from there is that a red flag or to keep the hope flying still?

Have you followed up at all? If not, I'd definitely reach out to the recruiter to let them know you're still very interested and ask if there's a status they can share. It could very well be related to the fact that this is such a busy time of year, with the holidays and year-end. Doesn't necessarily mean you have to worry.

I got this as a reply after a follow up mail I sent to indicate my interest..
“We are very interested in your candidacy and we are currently developing an offer. I will be back in touch as soon we do.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know”

I think that seems pretty straightforward - might just need to get several layers of approval before they can extend. Might be worth following up in another week or so but remember, holidays slow stuff down

Follow up on it and ask for updates. If they reached out to you themselves, I'm sure you're still in the running for it. They're just taking their time to formukate a good offer for you. Hang in there!

Have they given you somewhat of a heads up before that 2-week delay? It's usually a long process especially for the offering/negotiation phase. But it does not mean it's a red flag. I suggest you send them a follow up email.

That's pretty normal nowadays. Some even take longer than that. You should follow up and ask for an update.

This makes me nervous as we enter (or are in) a recession. Any feedback based on the pros and cons list below would be helpful.
