Any recommendations on how I can help my 62 year old mother find a new job? she has worked in a bakery for over 49 years since immigrating to the US in 89 and the bakery is now closing. She's terrified of not working and I know it's not good for her to stay at home. What roles in smaller startups do strategy consultants usually get? Seems like they mostly hire engineering roles, and the only option would be a specific functional group (e.g. finance) rather than a “strategy” role?

My assistant of 2 years is making mistakes and I have no hiring/firing power (partner does). I feel really bitter about my peers (late twenties) who either (a) married rich and barely work anymore/ already have kids or (b) are still living off their wealthy parents, and are obviously unable to afford their current lifestyle themselves. Any constructive ways to deal with this in a healthy manner? I feel bad for feeling this way but can’t help it.

I have no idea what is wrong with me or how to fix it. In my lifetime, I have no real friends even though I meet so many people. I reach out and they dismiss me. I ask how they're doing and they don't reciprocate or ignore me. I really try to be a kind, fun friend.

My therapist thinks there's nothing wrong with me, but I just meet the wrong people.
But this sounds wrong, they all have close friends, nobody actively hates me, though clearly I am doing something wrong. I can't live like this.

I god mistreated by unfortunately another female (my manager). The whole project (an intense one on all accounts) she was looking for me to make a mistake and when I did, she pointed fingers at me for the rest of the project.
When I privately spoke to her and told her I have been seeing a psychologist on account of long-term anxiety issues, which in this case were triggered by her behavior, she told me maybe I should not be doing this job. This in an MBB firm. I feel tired and disappointed
