Google is providing all US-based employees weekly COVID tests by mail using bioiQ. Any consulting firms out there doing the same? Seems like a great perk.
How do you deal with a partner who makes you feel terrible about not just your work but yourself? This is a female partner who is older and a leader in her practice area. She comments on how I speak and it veers into personal criticism. Anything I offer to a project she shuts down, but if her favored paralegal says the same thing, she publicly praises her. I feel like they tag team me and unfortunately I can't completely stop working with them.
In the market for a new laptop (yes I need to provide my own.) After some research, it has been pretty inconclusive as no website and/or review shares similar opinions. For you post-COVID road warriors out there, what is your best laptop recommendation?
I need more entertainment to take my mind off COVID on my one day off. What's the best medical TV show?
Fishbowl Live Co-host Opportunity: Are there any moms who are interested in co-hosting and sharing their perspective on their experience of handling their kids and education during the pandemic? The Teaching Community Bowl is hosting a Fishbowl live at 7/19 @7pm EST called "Teaching Post Covid," where they will dive into the experience of teachers during and post the pandemic, and they want to bring on the perspective of the parents as well.
Need perspective from ladies and men - I get the whole "chase" thing, but if you are into someone is it okay to be open about it early on? If there's one thing Covid has made me realize, it's that life is short and sometimes you gotta shoot your shot. I know that's a turn off for some, but generally isn't it better to let them know? Just trying to be honest and myself.
Had a feedback meeting today where we also kicked off the project the feedback was on. Then I asked for a brief, cause you know, need that, and found out the feedback doc was the brief. Mind blown. 🤯
Anyone else’s behaviors and habits change significantly post covid19. I.e. going to a bar seems like a hassle now. Movie and staying in my house is my usual Saturday now. I used to go out every single weekend precovid. I got used to never leaving my house 🏡.
How long is too long before meeting an SO’s parents? We’ve been together a little over 2.5 years and I still haven’t met them. Part of it is because they’re in India and we’re in the US and covid travel bans won’t allow it, but they have suggested FaceTime and my SO refuses. I think he wants to make sure it goes well but given our trip was planned December 2020 and won’t happen anytime soon, shouldn’t I at least meet them virtually? Am I reading into it too much?
BJP winning Assam, Bengal and Puducherry. We can talk about Covid mis-management, but public mandate is final and supreme.
I just found out that the person I was with last year is with someone new. We were separated because of distance/covid. It just makes me sad because I feel that covid took away the opportunity for us to be together and further develop the connection that we had. It was unique and hard to find. So much has changed. I’ll get over it and if we aren’t going to be together then I am sure it’s for the best. Just feeling this heaviness today.
How comfortable is everyone (due to covid and bird flu) to go outside? Any weekend suggestions (must try sought off!)
Deloitte strategy 🐠 I noticed the travel requirement says 50% in non-COVID times as compared to the traditional 80%. Is this accurate from your experience?
My husband and I have a huge combined family. They are also...well...loud. By loud I mean, laughing, debating, talking, all in good cheer. But sometimes arguments can erupt, and there's really no shortage of entertainment and sometimes drama. We're having a smaller gathering this year and wondering what's the best way to navigate all things COVID and health - we love to be close, hug, etc but I know everyone has different comfort levels and I want to be gracious and appease. What's your expert opinion? #QA
I'm so freaking sick of my team not fully reading through client discovery materials. Everything you're asking me and the client was contained in the documents we were given 😡😡
Is anyone else pissed everywhere day about Corona virus taking away their job and or prospects away?

Do you think the AM/HF firms which has strong willingness to hire people aggressively despite this COVID are all credible in that they can keep relatively better performance than competitors during a crisis?
I’m hoping to start networking a bit more in San Francisco. I’m newer to the city but plan on being here for at least five years, maybe life. Any thoughts on great groups or events?
Any fun ideas for a gender reveal? (Not mine but for a friend). Only 6 of us will be there
the siriusxm campaign this year by Translation LLC with all the celebs sharing the same house is cute, wholesome, and occasionally funny, too. i keep seeing it on IG and something about it really appeals to my inner kid (“whoa, all these people live in the SAME HOUSE?!”). good work!
As a manager, what level role would you take at different types of firms ? Just got a director offer at a $200-300M PE portfolio company, but feel like that’s not senior enough.
EY and PWC under scanner in UK yet again for auditing issues. Pressure on them to break up. Audit cannot go hand in hand with consulting. Tough times ahead for Big 4. They had too much rope which is now getting cut
What are the SAAS based B2B companies in Pune for Customer Success Manager job position?
What do you do if you’re expected to work with students who do not have all their vaccinations (not COVID)? It was my understanding that if students do not have all their required vaccinations, they couldn’t attend classes until they got them. Did I misunderstand something ?
Joining KGS (Bangalore) in Jan List of Questions 1. Perks offered? 2. Shift allowances? 3. Yearly appraisals (minimum %)? 4. Joining kit? 5. Promotion cycles? 6. Hierarchy Eager to know 😃
My MIL has made remarks to my husband that she doesn’t understand why we need a nanny for our infant since I am able to WFH (I’m a biglaw associate). She also doesn’t get why we have a cleaner and dog walker and seems to imply we’re wasting our money by outsourcing funds on things we can do. She was a SAHM so I guess I understand why she feels that way, but how do I explain to her why these things are necessary? I actually love my MIL but this is driving me nuts.
How do you go from united silver to gold? I feel like I have been silver forever and I've been consistently traveling.
Based out of Atlanta and diamond on Delta (360 this year but unlikely to be next year) and super pissed with the low conversion rates. What other program would you suggest? (Or am I stuck with Delta)

Do Delta and American provide sleep kits and blankets to economy on long, International flights? I’m flying to Asia for the first time, and I don’t want to take up luggage space with my plane blanket.
So I typically don’t answer the EEO questions at the end of applications that ask for race and gender. Lately I’ve noticed companies following up via email for this information after I submit the application. Am I the only one who does this? Does it even matter? Any thoughts on the follow up emails asking for the information after the application has already been submitted?
If there is a PM role at FAANG vs a consulting role at MBB for ppl out of undergrad, which one would you take and why? Not that I have such privilege now but just curious

Senior associate at Am 200 firm here, billing close to 190-200 a month from time to time/18-1900 a year, on partnership track, and making 230k a year. One 6 yo kid. Husband a partner at Am 200 firm and makes half to a million a year. Question: What would you do if you were me?
