No. Even if they don’t do an ultrasound, my baby’s heart rate is at least checked via doppler at every appointment. I may be unusual since I have a couple of conditions that make me high risk, but I’m 35 weeks and counting.

I went in for my first appt at 10 weeks and they checked the baby’s heartbeat right off the bat. They should be checking the heartbeat every visit

Yeah, I was told the same and they started using Doppler since week 16. Before that, I kept asking and each time they said it is an unnecessary force to the baby which they don’t want to use

I’ve never heard that. They have been measuring the heart rate for me since my first scan at 7 weeks. Currently 19 weeks
