Look up the state standards by grade level. It will give you a place to start.
Agree. If your district has "priority standards," that's another good place to start. I am lucky to have colleagues who will share with me.

Contact your Bio dept lead or Admin in charge of curriculum. Or, you might just have to wait until they see fit to share this with you, even though we are writing IEP goals for the next year. Remember, you do not need the actual assignments, but just the content that will be taught. You seem to be fighting a losing battle???? BUT, you are doing exactly what you need to do!
Just a thought, let them know that you need it for just that reason and if they cannot help you, then their curriculum will need to cover these goal areas. Good Luck.
That's why I am confused. I don't want their power points, lessons, worksheets, or assignments. It's not suitable for the level of kids I am going to have. I just want to know what they are covering.
My teachers hand me a text! Not fun 😝
That's how I started this year. I had to beg for a book to base everything on.....that's not how a new teacher should be starting. But at least I know where to dig for some things going into next year.
