Does anyone know if Marriott is checking for badges etc if you booked under a corporate rate? I booked a hotel for a wedding in October using my Deloitte rate and recently left the firm. I checked and the hotel’s rate is triple the Deloitte one. Any chance they won’t notice? Is there a work around for this? If I call and add my husband for checkin?

If you’re tight on time and willing to cough up the money, take the Heathrow Express into central London instead of the underground, it’ll only take you 15 minutes instead of the hour the underground takes.
Other things to do aside from the ones already recommended include Trafalgar Square, the National Portrait Gallery, Houses of Parliament/ Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Southbank, and Soho - these and the suggestions above are all very walkable and easy to get between by underground.
I second this, the underground will take looooong
I’ve done this long layover several times! You should plan to be back at Heathrow by 1 PM, giving you roughly 4-5 hrs to explore London if you account travel time. Take the Underground to Tower Bridge and do a walking tour of the area. Eat fish and chips at a pub, or grab food from Borough Market.
You could also start at Green Park if you want more greenery and want to see Buckingham Palace.
Other things I’ve done: Shopping around Oxford St., Tate museum
