It’s still the same concept that D1 said, add more segments between now and then and don’t be a dick.
I for one wish that OP get zero status
If you can’t figure out how to add 4 more segments in 2.5 months in addition to whatever you are doing you aren’t very good at this. Also hope you don’t get it.
You have 2.5 months, take 2 trips man
Oh that’s a tough one. Try adding on segments to your return flights home on Thursdays. Unless you’ve spent Concierge Key-level amounts with them, they don’t usually budge. BUT they will likely offer you a buy up option if you’ll be short. It won’t be cheap but it usually pops up sometime in Dec but you can’t rely on it actually happening
Take the shuttle flight to DCA or LGA a few times? Fares are usually pretty cheap
Segment run!
D1 obviously has a comprehension problem. I'm anticipating I will be 4 segments short at the end of 2.5 months. I'm not 4 segments short right now.
PWC1 what are you doing?!
Is it worth it? Who cares
Just route yourself differently with a connection for a couple weeks. Will make the commute longer but should not be hard to pick up 4 segments.
Adding value! Thanks, PwC1. Also, to my Deloitte brethren wishing me the best, I had already factored in the additinal segments that I will be adding to my regular commute. Thanks for the suggestions and the juju nonetheless.
Ask your travel booking agency. I did that last year and they took it to American for me. I wasnt even that close and they said yes
Is this for a challenge? Because you still have time for the year
Not usually. Where are you based?
BOS

From experience, I can tell you that AA will bump you to the next status if you are within 1 segment or 200 miles of the requirement (assuming dollar value has been reached). They don’t publicize this but I was fortunate enough to receive this benefit last year :)
