Your 5 year old deserves a smarter mom or dad :(
Finally, a true hodler! 100%? A 5 yrs old? You better think about how not to spoil your kid when you buy him cars, houses, etc.
Barclays 1 spreading FUD throughout. Let people make their choices. What do you get from knocking them?
Thanks D1 and PJT.
@Barclays, that's non-sensical. How could you judge inteligents from a commitment to hold a crypto with an admission of it being worth thousands or zero? @PwC1, you think Hitler (a fascist) was a big proponent of decentralization? I know you cool kids were just going for the quick upvote. And you may be correct that this will prove to be a money losing strategy, but your fear mongering is a far worse rational for action.
I agree with you on "sell everyone" exemplifies insecurity. However, HODL is the opposite of insecurity. It is optimism. Optimism that this is a new way of paying for goods and services. Optimism that the underlying technology has far greater value than is portrayed by the summation of market caps. Many of us have been through multiple 75%+ sell-offs. We see these "the sky is falling chicken littles" every time that were in it for the quick buck. But the true believers, we remain unshaken, unphased, and resolute. It is important that our voices be loud and true in these times, so the believers, old and new, know we're still in it with them. If you're not HODLing, you should have never bought in the first place.
You sound like Hitler when Stalin was knocking on the bunker door
Honestly I think posts at either extreme (sell you fools! Or HODL everyone!) are worthless and only reveal underlying insecurities by the OP. I don't care what you're doing with your money and I don't want you telling me what to do with mine. If you believe in action enough to make a post about it, include some objective information as to why.
No. The only reason to post "I'm holding" as a proclamation of your intent is to seek validation. And the only reason to seek validation is to mitigate self doubt. Not trying to get preachy, but this bowl has become worthless due to these posts, regardless of the position.
Well that's an opinion stated as a fact. And I disagree with your opinion.
Dude. It's clearly an opinion. When you start a sentence with "the only reson..." you're not after truth. You just want to be seen as right. You're not.
Hey OP, good on you. I have little doubt you will have plenty of crypto left over by that time. Remember this post and don’t lose faith when it all bottoms out in 2023. You’ll be back to 2019 highs by 2027 with much lower volatility than we have today.
Opinion or cognitive science, same thing right? 🙄
I really don’t understand why ppl are so harsh on op’s position. Op strongly believes in the disruption of BTC long term, period. If you don’t, just get out and be happy. The truth is: Everyone who is/was in at some point understand how much the disruption will change the world. Because of that, it is totally okay to validate your believe and position by saying “I’m a HODLer”. That means, nothing has changed long term. Now, if you are a seller, and you say “sold everything”, no one knows why. True is: There are two types of sellers, the ones who wanted to make money short term by looking at technical analysis and got frustrated as usually it happens with this strategy, or the ones who wanted to influatiate others to sell so that they can buy cheaper later. Also, there is the 3rd category (hopefully minority) who never understood anything about any of these and follow the fear buying high selling low. You can call it whatever you want, cognitive science, volatility, etc., but if you a seller you belong to one of the seller categories.
