Hi folks, I recently applied for a new role in EMEA for a Specialist Solutions Architect. Got through n received an offer letter. But seems like the base is a bit lower than what i saw online in a couple of places (not sure of years of experience there though). Is it worth it to bring it up and ask the HM to raise an exception? How much time will this take? Is it a risk? Already the entire process has dragged on cause of delays on recruitment's part etc. Any advice or insight would be helpful!

I’m job hunting and having fairly decent success so far. Made it to the final round for two jobs but lost both. Thinking it can’t hurt to spruce up my resume and cover letter and optimize my LinkedIn profile. Can anyone recommend someone who does this? Not finding great options via Google and looking specifically for ones who are good with creatives.

My resume looks good (1 page, bullet points on achievements, direct language, etc), but I feel I’m not getting as many interviews as my experience would enable.

Was interviewed last year around October by google for a role at L5 level. Could not reach hiring committee level. In 2017 I was interviewed and could reach hiring committee but could not move any further and could not get selected. Given these two prior attempts, should I expect to get an interview by google anytime in future? After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

For those who lived in SF and/or NY before, do you have a preference? NY is great for finance opportunities but heard it's super cut throat. SF is great for tech opportunities and it seems more likely for females to find a relationship here compared to NY because more males than females here. In-house marketing departments are flourishing right now. We’ve hired two new people, and plan on more. And we continue to fire our agencies, from content creation to branding. I think it’s a positive move, as I’ve seen better work related to the brand I work for come from those who understand it best. Tell me again why a full agency is necessary? 😆 We hire and give full benefits, while agencies continue to ask freelancers for discounts, while jacking up their agency rates.

So I've been at a place that doesn't really believe in titles. I've risen the ranks and have been doing ACD work there for almost 3 years (winning pitches, overseeing juniors, etc..) with no promotion because the position doesn't exist. I feel like this is going to really hurt my chances at getting an ACD role somewhere else. Am I right to worry?

Maybe a noob Q - When does it make sense to take a pay cut when changing companies? I'm a Producer/PM trying to decide if I should jump to a smaller, lesser-known company (COLOR) for more money but fewer benefits than my current job, or with TeamOne for a slight pay cut but more benefits than my current job or COLOR.
