I wonder if one day I will find a job that actually fulfills me. Is there a job in sales that can actually feel like you are doing good in this world?

I received an offer from Deloitte in d UK (city A). The main reason my offer was from city A is that out of all the locations I applied for, it was d first location to pick up my application.

However, I do have family in another (city B) and since I'm coming into d country newly, I would benefit from having that support system if I'm in city B and can save on rent. I have signed the contract offer and I'm due to resume in Nov. How can I go about requesting a change of location b4 resuming?

I’m looking at buying an apartment as an investment that is down the street from my house. Newly renovated, Good location, close to shopping and a soon to be opened light rail station.
Challenge is that with 25% down and almost 7% interest, the all in costs (mortgage, taxes, insurance, small HOA fee) would have me breaking even or maybe negative $100 a month vs rent roll.

Just got a verbal from Oracle for a manager position and should be getting the official offer by EOW. When I got the verbal today she said “I don’t know if we’ll be able to get there but we may be able to get you 100K base”.. I’m seeing on Glassdoor and Comparably that the base is at 110 - 125… how should I bring this up or push for a higher base if it’s “the closest they can get? Had anyone here transitioned from a Solution Engineering role to an Account Executive role? Interested to hear what your experience was like. My main concern is that in a sales role (other than the need to be an extrovert), the income can be quite variable so for those who have transitioned was it worth it?
