I work as a support analyst but also handle documentation management/creation, help on app builds when we’re short on available resources, and am in charge of deployment project management (currently ~30 ongoing projects), lead scrums with engineers, and build out JIRA’s to track projects. I’m fairly certain I’m being underpaid ($50k) compared to our new deployment consultants. How much should I be making realistically and what should I do (already asked for a raise twice)?

Holy cow. Based upon what you’re describing, you have 6 different jobs in one. I would say, at the very least, 160k and above is a reasonable salary for all that you do. Highlight all of the amazing contributions on your resume, and run for the hills. You deserved to be getting paid significantly more, and you deserve to work for a company that values you, appreciates what you bring to the table, and compensates you accordingly.

My firm has a collections budget (80% of your billable rate x 1850 hours) and an hourly budget that must be met in order to be eligible for a bonus. The firm cares very little about originations and will reward someone for making their collections over someone who brings in new work. I missed my collection budget due to some odd timing with a client, but originated more than all my peers so no bonus for me. I’ve been at this same mid level firm for 9 years and it’s all I know. Is this normal??

Hi folks, I recently applied for a new role in EMEA for a Specialist Solutions Architect. Got through n received an offer letter. But seems like the base is a bit lower than what i saw online in a couple of places (not sure of years of experience there though). Is it worth it to bring it up and ask the HM to raise an exception? How much time will this take? Is it a risk? Already the entire process has dragged on cause of delays on recruitment's part etc. Any advice or insight would be helpful!

I spent all of my career in finTech & finServ as an implementation engineer. I think that I have been an above average performer throughout my career. Here's the short version of salary history:

Job2 - Yr5 - $100k base + bonus, upto 100%
Job3 - Yr6 - $120k base + bonus, upto 30%
Job4 - Yr8 - $140k base + $100k equity
Job5 - Yr13 - $180k base + bonus, upto 30%
Job6 - Yr18 - $197k base + 27% bonus + stock option

Hospital that pays fairly well and has great benefits including a pension or a job with a non profit hospital paying exceptionlly and also has pretty good benefits. Don't know if I should take the lower pay with the V.A. or make significantly more at non profit Hosptial

I am worried I will not be able to climb the ladder because of my personality. Any tips on how women on the more introverted side of the spectrum have made it in consulting?
