You can let them choose a different center as “redirection” instead of choosing their choice for them. Also, you can redirect them to a “cozy corner” to discuss their feelings, emotions, and what different activity the child wants to choose to change the behavior.
Depends. Do they see it as a punishment? I love the redirects to a more calming activity, but uf the kids feel that it's punishment then it's detrimental.
