I work at a smaller telecom firm and had a former employee reach out to me for a role at a competitor. I then went on two separate interviews with two former employees of my employer. Both interviewers ragged on the product my company offers and the processes laid out by the company.

Do you think this is a red flag?

Feel as if I’m constantly behind peers in terms of career progression (e.g. MBB/ FAANG) despite having a decent-ish background (tier 2 consulting and now at top tier finance company in strategy role). I find that the companies I’ve worked at have very set progression based on tenure, with no room for negotiation.
