I work at a Tier 2 strategy house. Whenever headhunters contact me, it is either for another tier 2, a boutique, or occasionally a tier 1, but never a big 4. Anyone else experience this? Why?

I work for a big 4. Are you hiring?

@M1 sent you a DM. @P1 great response 👏🏼

Probably would be a hard sell to convince folks from T2 firms to step down to a Big 4 firm

Comp is a huge factor. A EY recruiter reached out about OTS last year. I was very interested in the work but they couldn’t match comp, so it went nowhere..

Thanks, good to know. May actually do that once our bonus/ review cycle ends.

You’re probably too niche for big 4

Why would that be the case? Shouldn’t it be the other way round - with more people comes greater specialization?

What is considered T2 Strat House?

OW / ATK / S& and LEK. In that order, in my mind, but just an opinion.

Partner in big 4, mid 40s. Doing okay but lack motivation as I don’t respect what we do or most of my clients. Team is decent and I feel responsible for them but not excited about consulting. Never been in the industry. Very tempted to do a start up. Have a few ideas. I would love some advice. Either how to suck it up and stay the course or being brave to try something new.

I've been working for a regional public accounting firm since last Summer. It's a small office and I don't really fit in. The accounting software(s) is also ancient and slow here(circa 2003). I quickly applied for a position at a Big 4 and surprisingly was quickly offered a job. The training here has been haphazard and even managers barely know how to use the software. My main concern is the awkwardness from leaving after such a short time but the commute is an hour shorter to the big 4 firm.

Started in industry two weeks ago. No timesheets, 40 hour work weeks, and 30% more than what I was making previously. We use all B4 for everything, so it’s just managing their work and budgeting. I feel like I have hit the jackpot. Moral of the post: there is none, I just want to brag about how happy I am now 😂

I gave interview for Technical Manager in Wipro. JD was leaning heavily on architect side. The interview was boring, and the main focus was on team building. All my answers were technical in nature, which did not impress the interviewer. He said, he is just looking where I can fit in the organisation. I doubt they will just put me on hold. Can anyone help me understand, or share similar experience with Wipro if they had.
