You love her huh ? 😍🥰🤭😬😈
I do actually.
If she’s this great she’ll want to support your professional development. Just tell her you are ready to move up and take on bigger challenges and for her advice. You can even (and should) tell her that you’d prefer to keep working for her, but right now, it seems like the only way to move up is to take her job, which you don’t want to do because you enjoy having her as a boss.
Ideally, you’ll be able to articulate exactly what you want from your next position. Be ready to discuss the responsibilities you’d want, the problems you’d like to solve, and the impact you’d like to have. She might be able to work with you to develop a new role on the team OR help you move to another team. Another option is that she’s looking to take the next step and can indeed start grooming you to take her role.
