I've worked at the same engineering firm for 4 years. I'm currently making $161k with only a $750 bonus, but excellent vacation (4 weeks, cash out anytime, rolls over indefinitely), 45 hours a week. I have an interview with a recruiter at Guidehouse this week for a Technical Project Manager role. It seems to be focused in the government space and requires a security clearance. What sort of salary and benefits could I expect for this sort of role at Guidehouse?

Hi, I have recently got the offer from HCL Technologies, they are offering only 7LPA and I have a counter offer in Cognizant, they offering me 8.8 LPA. I spoke with the HCL HR on the same, HR said that they will revise the offer two days before my joining date. This was happened over the phone call, so I mailed them to send me a mail, detailing all the information we talked over the call, but still I didn't get any mail from them. Now they are urging me to upload the docs. What I do??

I know this isn’t what you asked but have you tried looking for a job in other companies that you may like to work at? In addition, getting an offer might also help you know how much the market values your skill and experience, and some people are able to use that as a data reference point or leverage when asking for a raise.
And even if not a salary raise, you should be able to at least ask for increased equity in the business. Do you get annual performance bonuses?
I agree with A1, definitely start looking for new jobs even it's just to leverage the offer with your current employer. Also, do your research on market salary for similar roles and YOE and compile your list of accomplishments with the results/impact. Take your research to your employer and see if they're open to discussion or offer you anything in the form of compensation. If not, you know it's for sure time to go.

I am a founder, and even though we are very cash-strapped, I discuss these things very transparently with my employees and contractors.
I offer a lot of flexibility to them, which helps in my slightly below market pay.
The app that we are building is career fitness tracker and we have more micro learning and tracking for your career. One of the micro learning programs that is in there is called negotiate your pay. I think it could help you. It is targeted toward women right now although that will change. It is interactive learning so it will be personalized to your gender identity sometime. But you can use it now for free. I appreciate feedback if you are willing to give it. There is a feedback survey in the menu.

@Director, Terrific. The wage gap spreads as women get more senior. Women tend to demand less support and do more with less.
Are you me??
This is exactly what I'm going through right now, with the added "bonus" of the founder's motto: Do more, take less. Been here 5 years, added responsibilities, roles and tasks. No promotions.
I'm in the midst of upskilling, working on SQL and Python. I just hope the no-promotions-in-the-span-of-5-years doesn't raise questions when I put myself back on the market. I've built the company's online business from the ground up, with little more than a pat on the back. Huge blow to the self-esteem let me tell ya...
I'm rooting for you! Godspeed!
With all the new responsibilities, especially the ones you didn’t even ask for or sign on when you join the company, you absolutely deserve a raise or at least some perks and title change. List all the key achievements you’ve made last 2 year and do some research about the pay at your level in the market, tell them your current salary is not reflecting your responsibility and contribution. If they refuse, which is very normal, start looking for new jobs.
I’m in a similar position. My title is HR assistant. I manage all the training for Kronos for the entire organization. I handle everything a generalist would do…and am people facing. Anyone who needs training or extra help with benefits comes to me. I handled talent acquisition as well last year with no raise. I’m going to use that experience to land my next role. It’s just not convenient for me to bounce quite yet…taking real estate broker courses, taking the SHRM exam, and planning a honeymoon. Until I’m ready, I’m going to network like crazy.
Similar position here. Great question. Thanks for asking.
I feel what you are going through. Here are the things to have the salary increase conversation-
1. Make a list of all the accomplishments and valuable work you have done for the company which has helped to save money or add value to the team
2. Go to Glassdoor and do research on what salary you should be getting based on the job you are doing and the experience.
3. Schedule a 1:1 meeting with your boss-
-Discuss your accomplishments
-Discuss your research about the salary people should be getting in your position
Then say,
Based on the value I have brought to the company, my research, the amount of experience I have, I believe I deserve a salary increase of $x-$y. Always say your salary expectations in ranges. Never give an exact number
Then in parallel, start applying for jobs.
Once you get a job offer, you can tell the current company to match it. If they cannot then move jobs.
You deserve better and you are worth it.
