I think it might do harm than good to wfh. Might not be a great way to end things if working from office is the norm. You never know when you might need these people on your side in the future. Ultimately people get over the fact that you’ve decided to leave, but they usually remember how you left things.

It would be weirder to ask and expect to wfh if that hasn’t been the expectation or practice. You don’t want to burn bridges on your way out. Most people are professional about attorney departures and, even if they aren’t, you certainly should be.
Hey I am in a very similar situation! I gave notice to one partner on Monday and it went WAY better than expected. I agreed to stay on a few extra days to help transition so long as my work could be hybrid.

Just go in late and leave early. You shouldn't have much work to do. If you ask to wfh, they'll probably tell you not to bother. Why would they want to pay you if you don't even come in?
Agree with everyone here. You’re probably overthinking it. They should know people leave for all different reasons. If it’s awkward, it’s because of THEM not you. It’s not uncomfortable or weird to move on, but it will be if you leave on bad terms. Just go into the office. Definitely making a good move if anyone makes you feel uncomfortable or awkward during your last few weeks!

They don’t care at all. Most associates leave firms, this is not anything new to them.
Definitely go in each day. Sure it might be a bit awkward at times, but you’re a professional and it’s best to leave on the best possible terms with people admiring how you handled yourself. Do your work, be pleasant to everyone, and make sure the boss knows you’re committed to a smooth transition.
