Frankly, it sounds like he has an ego. It's unnecessary (imo) for a CEO to micromanage if the team is doing well, particularly since it's a small team. If it's impacting your ability to work, I would consider sitting down with him and asking for feedback. Potentially if he thinks you're working on the stuff he keeps micromanaging he'll lay off.

Pretty much. I usually try to involve micromanagers as much as I can so they don't feel like they're being shut out. It's definitely some kind of control thing
It happens at a small company. But as you grow things will get better! Just make a good impression now and suffer through it. It will pay off later. People expect SDR's to take rejection well. Consider it a test.

Because he perceives himself as an uber-salesperson. He needs to perceive himself as an uber-teacher. CEOs can be led, but it ain't easy.
Common scenario in small companies. CEOs want to be included in the process. They don't probably mean to intervene in a negative way. Are you close with your CEO? Maybe you can talk to them about this matter.
