I work in a startup and just got put in a PIP. I have a few interviews in the pipeline but I’m worried that they I may be “ineligible for rehire” during employment background checks. Should I resign before the end of my PIP?

Work history isn’t a police record, they won’t know you had a pip

Resigning looks even worse

I don’t believe employment background checks show that you were fired, only from when to when you were employed.
If they contact your former employer about performance, it’s not going to make a difference. See if there’s someone you’re close to will give you a neutral/positive reference

like

What they “show” depends on how hard the background check folks get paid to dig and what the past employer chooses to share, but they absolutely can “show” that you were fired in almost every state.

If you don’t mind staying employed there, you definitely shouldn’t resign.

Keep looking for a new role though.

I interviewed for a role with the Enterprise Risk Team at EY. I told them my salary requirements were $105 k before the interview. They said it should be ok if I'm brought in as a Senior 1. After the interview, they said they want to bring me in as a Staff2 at $84k with $3k signing bonus. I'm trying to get on a call to negotiate further...do these numbers sound right to you all?

Is it weird to ask a recruiter for pointers? I linked with a recruiter for the company I would like to work at and am wondering if I should approach them?

I recently interviewed for a role at Goldman Sachs and completed all the levels. After the final interview HR sent me a link to fill out the Compensation Questionnaire and requested for related documents. Next day, another HR called me for some clarification and told me that they are going to request for some approvals. Does this mean I can expect an offer letter? If yes, how long will that process take?

If you are really interested in a position and company and the recruiter is late or doesn't show up to the first recruitment call, what is your process to address this? I emailed the recruiter 10 mins after our call was supposed to start, asking her if she was still available to talk or if another time today was convenient. Any other suggestions?

When interviewing, how well could you assess if you passed the case or not? Had Round 1 McK interviews yesterday and think they went really well. Wont find out result until next week but wondering if i should prep for final round over the weekend.

I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per

recruiter had told me in the initial call the

should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
Thanks for any help!
