Something weird happened today. I attended 4 rounds of interviews with PwC and, post the 4th round, HR called me to share my last 3 month payslip and current compensation structure along with my salary expectations. Today he called me to check my availability for the 5th round of interview with the advisory head. Now I am confused as to why the HR asked me to share documents if there is another round. Is this the normal process?

Okay so applying for job openings in the firang deloitte can be done via the internal portal only right? It will be a transfer or do I have to leave my current job for the procedure?
It’s essentially a new job you have to apply to. There’s no internal transfer to another member firm. It’s essentially like applying to a new job. You will get a new offer letter, the. Quit and serve your notice period before joining there. You may get additional consideration because of Deloitte tenure but most member firms (esp in Europe) have different requirements of their practitioners. Most also have strong language requirements.
You will be required to get partners approval to proceed with the recruiting process due to anti-poaching policies. You can either ask your partner to introduce you to partner of hiring practice or network yourself. Either ways your current partner will have to be kept in the loop.
