I work with a big 4 company, with their financial crimes department. In the past 4 years I saw that there is always less business and they keep cross teaming me with other practices that align with my skills. Is it the same case with other big 4s as well? What's the next best move that I can make? I'm a jack of all trades (internal audit, aml remediation, control remediation, quality assurance and what not)

There’s a tremendous backlog in FC work that banks need help with so that is weird. Even Deloitte is hiring in that area if I’m not mistaken.

I currently work in a Chief Internal Auditor role. I want to get a certification focused on IT audit both for knowledge, gaining credibility with my stakeholders in the IT audit space, and for when I look for a new role. I don’t have / won’t be able to get sufficient IT audit experience for the CISA designation at this stage. What designations, courses, or other options would you suggest?

My husband is wanting to transition from the construction industry to tech. He’s an extremely successful PM but the work life balance in construction is almost nonexistent. Are there any certifications he should get that would help him make the move / any advice on what role he could step in to using his experience as a PM? He is worried he will take a pay cut since his experience so far in his career is construction centric. Appreciate any feedback!

I’m looking at doing a side gig doing professional mentoring, interview preparation and resume design/building/editing for some supplemental income. I’ve been doing it informally for a couple years with folks in my network and to much success. Folks have recommended I branch out and start charging for the hours I spend on it. I actually enjoy it and very savvy in the federal government world and consulting. Anyone know where i could start or be connected into doing this?

What are the best certification/training courses/conferences for someone in TA looking to gain more experience in HR? The goal is to gain more experience in the cross-overs areas between TA and HR; internal hiring, promotions, handling basically employee conflicts, Work Authorization, onboarding, basic employee law and benefits (as they relate to TA). Thank you!

I’m leaving an IR role from an asset mgmt into these two possible roles: 1. Marketing in Asset mgmt 2. Strategic comms at a consulting firm. My passion has been in Comms and a lot of my agency experience was in comms. But im still in the interview stage for (2) consulting firm and I have to kinda decide if i want (1) marketing role soon. Would take (1) make it hard for me to go into comms in the future? This is my first real job. Salary for (1) is v competitive ; not sure about (2) yet.

Any suggestions on who will hire an MBA student graduating in May 2023? Would like to do something in valuation, FDD, or consulting but will pretty much take anything I can get. Remote would be ideal since I live on some land. I realize I’m being picky btw. I have 6 years of professional experience, half of them in a supervisory position. However, it’s a blue collar industry so pretty much will probably start off at an entry level position since the experience is irrelevant.
