Trust me, you would rather be doing this than working outbound leads
What are you selling? I’ve learned giving them options on a time rather than options on an out works better. Like can you do 2pm or 3pm Friday?
Inbound means they are interested in something. Deals are done better in person. If that isn’t available ask if you can chat via zoom.
What information do you get with an inbound lead? I rarely do get those types of leads but what I always do before I reach out to a prospect is do some research on the company or person, see if we have any mutual connections, look at where they went to school and try to find ways to connect with them other than just trying to sell them something. It’s worked well for me over the years.
Thank you!! This is great advice. I will keep this in mind.
Do some research on Sandler sales training. I was taught under Ken Smith. There is a ton of good techniques and strategies through their program.
I really like the “pain funnel” and “negative reverse selling”
Write out a good “problemercial” and use third party stories.
“We have worked with others like yourself who were frustrated with ___ and fed up with___ still others were unhappy with the time it took to ___. Do any of those problems relate to you?
I worked a sales job like this. Half the time they were clicking on something not knowing it would mark them as a target for a sale. You have to approach them very cautiously and say something along the lines of “mr blank, our records show you were interested in blank..can I set up a time to show you what we have to offer and see if we can be a good fit for your needs”
What product do you sell?
B2B Full management digital marketing services.
Numbers game just gage their interest and play it cool you’ll know who is serious. Be short be sweet be out
In my role I get hit with these all the time. I get it, but 99.99% of the time I’m not the right audience. Best course of action is to inquire if they’re right for the pitch, interested in a pitch and if they’re even doing something beyond basic research
When you say inbound leads you mean someone calls in and you’re unable to close or it’s a warm lead and then you can’t reach them?
The leads that we have are from anyone who downloads a guide, goes to a webinar, call in, visit the website, etc.
Is there an option for you to do Outbound prospecting ?
As in your business prefers you don’t Outbound? Any reason why?
How many times are you contacting them? What different types of contact ie. calling, linked in, email? Is your product good?
