Managing Student Loans - a Q&A

I worked at a charter school for four years and will be starting my third year in a regular public school. Do I have any opportunities for loan forgiveness or is that gone?

Some teacher-specific loan forgiveness programs have school requirements, but Public Service Loan Forgiveness is an option for teachers that does not have any title 1 requirements.

If your charter school was a 401c3 organization, then those years could count toward the ten years needed for Public Service Loan Forgiveness!
