It will probably take you some time to adjust to a new pace of work. I think that agency life is inherently traumatic, and when you leave it takes time to realize that the pace and volume that you became accustomed to working at to survive is just not how it is for the rest of the professional world. It’s actually kinda abusive. Leaving that world can trick you into thinking every other job is boring. But It’s ok to clock in & clock out and then spend your time focused on life things outside of work. This truth is not something that the agency world wants you to believe.
As someone who went the opposite way (corporate pace to agency pace) this is a very accurate description. Best advice I can give you is to try to get some time with your manager to set goals and give you peace of mind. Then give it until your 6 month mark and re-evaluate. Or, wait until your passwords expire (roughly a 90 day stretch) like I do to evaluate if I want to stay 😅 good luck!
Brand job*** not bra job lol
Me too I was like, yeah many bra brands are doing sick work these days - great job landing this!
Give it a bit more time - talk to your manager about it and if it doesn’t change in 6 months than switch

Find your personal fulfillment in your non-work life. It’s a job, not your purpose. Make the money with your skills to do what you love.
Yeah I agree with this. It wasn’t until I found my purpose in life outside of work rather than in my job that I wanted to go in house honestly. If your identity/purpose is in your job then in house probably isn’t for you yet.
That time after you’re done with your job is when life happens after you leave the agency world. I wouldn’t try to fill it up with more work. Do the things you love and feed your soul. Cook, read, work out, do nothing, whatever pleases you. It’s ok to do those things now. Congratulations!
Similar boat to you, joined a lumbering paced mega bank, and felt siloed even as I just started out. If you're not busy (assuming you aren't), perhaps schedule brief 1:1 meetings with people in areas you might be curious about. You might just find some new perspective you had not considered simply by talking shop, meeting new people and hopefully gaining insight on how the biz operates, strategizes, etc. You might just find hidden opportunities you weren't expecting.
Same exact profile and this is my greatest concern. Congrats on the dream job
did you do analytics in the agency world too? currently trying to jump ship and would love some pointers
Look for category manager or category analyst type roles on brand side they do exists your skills are easily transferable. I went from agency (in account management) to retail category analyst.
You’re 3 months in, that’s barely enough time to get your feet under you, let alone know the whole company landscape and all the players in other departments. let your manager know you’re ready to learn the next thing.
I’ve worked at agency’s and in several in house jobs, I’ve found that in house companies that have just ONE line of business sort of bore me and as a graphic designer I hate working in the same branding all the time. But there are in house jobs out there where it’s an umbrella of companies or locations or whatever where you’re working on different things constantly without having to have the stress of an agency. That has been the sweet spot for me! Finding the middle ground of variety and stability. But a lot of good comments here about work life balance that I agree with as well!
Agree with the other posters. Brand side will never be like agency side, there are def trade offs. Some ppl thrive on agency culture and never leave. You can always go back if that is your passion. But most of us who went brand side got disenchanted at agency life at some point and see work as just a job now and focus on other things in life.
Get a second job and collect two paychecks
Sounds like my dream job lol
Raise your concerns with your manager that you don’t feel challenged enough and would like to take on more responsibility. A good leader will listen to you and try to help you thrive. A bad manager will take offence. Don’t stay in a job under poor management. It’s not good for your career long-term, so find out early if the manager/company is someone you want to work for or learn from.
