Cushman & Wakefield Interested in a Sales Associate position at Cushman & Wakefield. I have experience as a government analyst for 7 years but nothing related to commercial real estate. I want to become a more competitive applicant but not sure where to start. Are there any certificates, skills, or knowledge that I should be learning in my free time?
Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

Pivot! Pivot! PIVOTTT!

Pivot pre-M, M level external hires do poorly at MBB
Pivot when you have an offer. Start the process now and jump if you get it.
Otherwise, work hard to make M and then try again (if that’s what you want)

I get that feeling for sure after you’ve fought hard for a promotion, but i think that’s short sighted. A couple years is pretty meaningless, but if i were you I’d focus on the stories you built there that make your story a standout. Life isn’t measured by your speed of progression at MBB - now that I’m further into my career, can see plenty of people who progressed quickly and flamed out / plateaued, or bloomed late and passed others.
They’re also hiring plenty of laterals these days but you may find like me that by the time you get that offer that life changes make the lifestyle untenable altogether…the risk of CTL also doesn’t go away. If anything, consensus seems to be higher risk when coming in at lateral.
