I worked in industry for close to 15 years and then moved into consulting. I hear a lot of consultants, who clearly have no industry experience, complaining about how rough it is. The complaining makes them sound so entitled and it makes me lose so much respect for them.

What is the etiquette for exit row in the middle section (think seats configured to 3-3-3)? Are people meant to climb over your legs to pass or is this reserved for the passengers who are sat there?

I love working at the bookstore and I'm proud to work with such a large group of people from different backgrounds. I'm really happy we're all here. But it probably isn't the best idea to get someone to reshelve books when they haven't been taught how to categorize them properly. It's like I spend most of the day following one of my coworkers around and discreetly fixing what he works on. He's a great guy, very personable, but wow is it frustrating.

My boss would jump on a call with clients and promise deadlines that have not been discussed with the rest of the team, and would assign me to lead the work internally. I don't agree with her at times because of this, but at the same time everyone else on the team blames me for "agreeing" to deliver things without talking to them, and being stuck in the middle is driving me nuts. What can I do to avoid this situation, and what can I address to my boss to stop making promises?

I’m lateraling, and so requested a report from our conflicts department for matters I’ve worked on. Our conflicts department is in a different office. What are the chances word has traveled to my office that I asked for the report? Is it a telltale sign that someone is leaving? I have not given notice yet.

I feel like a champ today. I woke up late at 9:30 am, but billed 11 hours, managed to work out for 40 minutes, took a 1 hour break for coffee break in the evening and another 1 hour for dinner.
