I would like some opinions on when I should start looking for a new job. I’m unhappy where I’m working right now and wish to leave as soon as I can. I have passed reg and far so far. I will be taking Audit next month. I hope to be done and licensed by summer of 2021. Should I start looking for new jobs now? Or would it be better to wait until I get my cpa license? I live in California btw, so I need to show I have had one year of accounting experience to apply for the license.

I’m an SDR who has been at my company for 6 months. In those 6 months I’ve been the leading guy for 3 months. My goal is to be AE. Should I move on?

Been with a girl for few months, really enjoyed moments that we shared together and barely got into any fights. But, somehow somewhat, I don’t see that we share the same vision in our career path. She wants to settle for administration roles while I want work & travel to multiple countries, really hard for her to find those opportunities within her current roles. Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

Need some advice on my next career move. I'm 31, have an MBA and am currently a SC in Risk Advisory with no M&A experience. I am good at risk consulting work but don't find it very challenging or interesting. That said, I expect to get promoted to M next year.

Recently, I interviewed with another Big 4 firm for SC in CDD M&A team and have got an offer. I enjoyed doing the CDD case study, and I believe I'd do well in the role.

Does it make sense to start afresh in M&A at this stage?

I have an MBA from the University of Chicago, not that it matters much in sales. I have always been in a consulting role but I think I can make more in sales. I have 10+ YOE in product, but some was at a tiny meh startup that fizzled out, some was in the digital wing of a large old healthcare org, and though my current role is GPM at a “name brand” tech company, it’s on the smaller side.
