I would really appreciate a mentor/guidance as I try to find a job during this pandemic. I am a first generation recent MBA graduate in my 30s. I find it difficult to navigate how to follow up with people I have networked with about potential upcoming job opportunities. How do I have them actually keep me in mind to let me know when a job opens up? How do I continue the relationship?

My husband want to get into PM work in construction (Ideally WFH). Currently he’s doing lighting protection but has been very ambitious and deals a lot with multiple contractors on sites. He should be taking his Journeyman certification test early next year. Any advice for how he can make the shift into the PM world? He’s working to get his CAPM early March 2023 and should have his associates in business be the end of 2023. And advice is appreciated :)

So I’m a Digital Marketing specialist atm with 2 YOE and im looking forward to switch into the world of AWS. Currently working and studying to crack the AWS cloud practitioner cert followed by AWS Solutions Architect after I develop confidence cracking AWS CP cert.

Can't help but feel like I'm in a rut. I'm 23 and realized I still haven't accomplished goals that I set when I was 20. I waste copious amounts of time on Netflix. I keep losing weight only to gain it back. I bought a standing desk and am still sitting on my bed to work. So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

Tips for working with a very big-personality Sales Director? He is a micro-manager-type that is always on you about things that is not his place, I want to tell him to stay in his lane so much. I am very much NOT that way and give my team lots of ownership/responsibility.

Approved by doctor/HR to remain remote and it’s not going over well( we were told we would remain remote, which included giving up our desks, but are now being asked to come in two days). The person who seemed the most annoyed by my request is my direct boss. I found it odd because she announced she was only doing one day because she was pregnant and the director was basically like “ok”. I don’t want to put a target on my back and I do enjoy the work. Should I just bite the bullet and come in?

When does the “oh she’s strong she can handle it” go too far? I’ve been noticing peers delivering things that are complete crap and our lead calmly/nicely suggests changes, no timeline to turn back around. ME?? I have been & would be directly and harshly told what all is wrong and to figure it out ASAP. I know im a tough cookie and can handle it but damn…it’s frustrating to see and know if that were me the reaction would be much different. I’m not being dramatic…other people see it too.
