I would really love to have a second baby but I’m a bit afraid as both my husband and I are over 40. Looking for key things to consider from anyone who had successful late pregnancies. Please advise!

My sister had 2 after 40. One at 41 and the other at 42. They were both healthy with no issues.

They are in college now so was a while back. I would think that medicine has come a long way since. You should be fine.

Hello All anyone know about company “Reply” in London,UK?
I need to understand paternity leave over there.

This could work in a great way of stress burster. I mean if we can connect to Likeminded from corporate sector, it's a mother level of great feeling. And if that is of an opposite gender that's something else ☺☺

Thinking about adding my child as an additional cardholder on Amex or other credit cards to build up their credit. I don't know if they're ready to actually have the card in their possession, but idea would be to establish early credit history.
Does it work? Is the purpose really to "build their habits" as Amex website suggests, or do they actually benefit from a longer credit history & piggyback off my good credit? First-gen professional here, so appreciate advice & resources.

For moms with more than 1 child: what did you do for on call care for your oldest when you went into labor with your second child? Our family is 2-3 hours away so we are trying to gather a list of closer options until family can arrive. We will ask some friends, but feel we need a longer list of options in case someone falls through or we can’t get in touch in the middle of the night.

My friend slept/has been sleeping with a guy who has a GF and she is pregnant - this happened after I warned her to not do that and it’s a bad fantasy she doesn’t want to experiment with….
I am very sad to the point that I do not want to be friends with her. I feel so bad for the pregnant woman and also mad at the guy and my friend. How should I navigate the situation?

I don’t understand what makes seemingly super sweet and kind people be this way 😭 WTF

Feeling like a horrible father today. I always make sure that I’m loving and happy and excited when I’m with my son, mainly bc my father was an emotionally unavailable narcissist. Anyone here adopt a puppy during the infertility struggle? Husband and I considering it to have something positive throughout this situation and thinking the extra companionship would be helpful. I work from home. Husband has had many family dogs and lots of experience with it, I’ve had a family cat before. But not sure if it’s actually a good idea - wondering if it would truly help make us feel better and keep our minds off of the struggles or if it would just add extra stress. Thoughts?

Something I used to do with my father before he died was fixing his home garden. Thanks to that now whenever I get a new property to sell I dedicate myself to fixing the garden before showing it, I learned to do it very fast and very aesthetically. Have you ever fixed houses by yourself to improve sales?

Talk to me about going from 2 to 3. I feel like 3 kids is such a rarity in this industry that it’s daunting to make the leap. I don’t know a single person in my office with 3 kids. I worry 3 is going take our lives from semi-manageable chaos to complete anarchy. But… I think we want a 3rd. My kids are young (toddler and baby), and if we do go ahead we’d want to do it in the next year or so.

In one hand, Consulting is great for the family, you can be home at hours others can't to be part of your kid's daily life (breakfast, school pick up, bath time, etc.) in the other hand, consulting is hard, when your home you are there, but often pulled away to do night work, presentations, and SOWs. Client work needs to get done (at the same time my son is my number one client) Any Dad's out there who have some good guiding principles they have found useful to strike the balance (knowing some days things are just not balanced)?

I used to be really bad about not prioritizing my prayer life. But now I pray & talk to God all the time. I’ve seen what prayer does-it can change the trajectory of your life. God tells us to make our prayers & petitions known to Him & to pray without ceasing. What happens when we pray is absolutely incredible. The Holy Spirit within us interprets our groans & our prayers to our advocate Jesus Christ who petitions God the Father on our behalf. The perfect triune God hears my prayers and yours!

Has anyone heard of Doug reeves? Just curious a district in my area is having him speak at a virtual meeting coming up on ways to improve D and F grades. He has a sketchy past from being in jail for embezzling money for an organization and years ago he was accused of molesting a coworkers child then several years go by and he was acquitted. Regardless if he was acquitted or not why would a district hire this professional speaker to speak to a group of teachers?? How about someone with a cjeanrr

Always wanted to adopt a puppy and this time seems perfect as I can be home all day for months to give the puppy the attention it needs in its initial months. I can’t decide on what puppy to get. Live in a hot climate area and own a big house with a decent size backyard. I am wanting to adopt either Labrador, golden retriever, Pomsky husky or a German shepherd. What would be best for a first time dog parent?

I think an online branding / stlylist consultant could help me look more mature. Eg what frame style / color glasses, hair style, clothing.

Any recommendations or experiences?

I know how to use design software, wireframe, prototype, and I do feel like a lot of my knowledge/ skills are relevant. Should I be going after Jr, mid or senior lvl UI roles?

My parents are both immigrants. My mom was orphaned at age 7 and moved to the US after feeling like she had no future in her country. My dad won a visa lottery months before completing his economics degree abroad but came to the US for a better life. They both work hard and things have not been easy.
