The DC Bar website says it takes an average of 8 months to process an application. Please don’t tell me that it’s from the day they notify you that the application was accepted for processing...

As a mid-level associate, what is an appropriate amount of notice to give your firm when you leave? I’m running a couple deals right now and do not want to leave my team in a bind...so 2 weeks seems far too short. That said, I also want to take some actual time off before starting a new role. Not sure how much time new employer is willing to give me before starting...I suspect max 6 weeks.

Crossposting here and in biglaw. Our FY ended Sept 30 so we're in bonus/annual raise time. I originated about $80k of work, all collected. I get 100% "origination credit" but that doesn't count for anything unless you're a partner. As an associate, what's a fair ask for a share of my originations? 20%? 10%? Be happy I have a job still?
